Our sweet little Emilyne turned one today. I am overwhelmed by how much she adds to our family. We all love her so very much. I was a little worried a bit over a year ago, worried that things would change when the baby came and my relationship with Bry would suffer--how could I love another little girl as much?, etc. etc.. Chalk it up to pregnancy hormones... All of the worries vanished when I held her in my arms. Things
have undoubtedly changed, but for the best--I can't imagine our little family without her. She loves her big sister and has really started giggling with us all. She has been taking steps for a few months, but she has pretty much abandoned crawling altogether now. I crawled after her today while she was walking away from me, and she just giggled--apparently crawling is now silly. She's moved on. Among her favorite things are her baths, peeking around corners and pretty much anything else, her sister's play kitchen and strawberries (as of today when she tried her first).
Emie has had two of her three little planned parties. One was with her cousin who is a little over a week older and her grandparents, one tonight with our family, and one planned for Saturday with her other grammy and grandpa. Her ability to destroy a cupcake is awesome--she gets that from me. It turns out she prefers chocolate over funfetti--also me. We'll see how she fairs with carrot cake and yellow cake.
Here are a few pictures of our Queen for the Day, Queen Emilyne:

Emie got her two front teeth for Christmas.
